Film Club presents ‘The Outrun’ – Thursday 16th October

“The Outrun” is a 2024 English-language drama film based on the 2016 memoir “The Outrun” by Amy Liptrot. Starring Saoirse Ronan, the film tells the story of Rona, a young woman born in Orkney who has been living in London as a postgrad student, where her joy in her freedom has been succeeded by alcohol abuse and depression.  Fresh out of rehab, she returns to the wild Orkney Islands after more than a decade away.
